Chest of Drawers by John & Sylvia Reid for Stag, 1960s
A Mid-Century Modern Chest of Drawers by the designers John and Syliva Reid for the British Manufacturer Stag, early 1960s. Compromised of three drawers with aluminium handles, tubular brushed steel legs and a cool ebonised strip along the bottom. It was part the Fineline range that the couple created, and at the time a very innovative design using square profile handles and ‘pin-stripe’ birch veneer. It has the original Stag label inside the second draw. Shows some signs of age at the corners and edges and has been refreshed at some point with a darker finish.
